RPA bots are faster than humans. These bots work 24/7 for 365 days. This increases the productivity of an organization. The time require for certain operations that have to be performed by the bot can be calculated which makes the RPA a lot more time-efficient option for the businesses.
Computers have very few chances of making errors in the process as compared to humans. The bots do exactly what is coded in it and cannot add or forget any step of the process. For repetitive tasks where the input has to be taken from any digital source and the input data is in structured format very high accuracy with time efficiency can be achieved with RPA.
The workforce can be increased or decreased quickly. In most businesses, the workload varies sometimes and more workforce is required instantly for a time period, in this case, more robots can be deployed quickly. And all of them will work with the same consistency and speed.
Bots can only do what is programmed in it. They do not have any innovative thinking or Creativity. Due to this robots can do a lot of work but cannot replace humans completely. Exceptions and cases need to be handled at the time of development or if any different case comes in the process which for which the bot is not programmed then the bot cannot think by itself and the system might get stopped.
RPA has a limitation and not all processes can be automated the best is to choose the repetitive processes which are rules-based. The processes which require human judgments and a lot of human interactions are difficult to automate. Every project has to be checked how much of the process comes under the scope of RPA.
Sometimes there are many changes occur in the environment of the process. For these changes, the robots require monitoring and reconfiguring. Whenever the applications involved in the process which is automated get updated or any change the robots also need to be reconfigured or redesigned.
